Cognitive Skills
Insight Services offers a Cognitive Skills group that can be integrated as part of clients’ individual treatment plans.
Utilizing the Thinking for Change 4.0 curriculum, developed in collaboration with the National Institute of Corrections, Cognitive Skills is an integrated cognitive behavioral change program designed to address unhelpful thinking habits and teach clients how to become more effective in their environments.
Cognitive Skills integrates cognitive restructuring theory, social skills development, and problem-solving skills to meet the social, emotional, and cognitive needs of clients.
At the end of the program, clients should be able to apply the skills and concepts to be more aware of their thought processes, consider the consequences of their actions, and utilize more pro-social skills to accomplish their goals.
